CONNECT THE DOTS (http://www.connectthedotsnetwork.org/ ) is an environmental nonprofit effort dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations reduce their environmental footprint. We work with nonprofits that manage their own buildings (soup kitchens, shelter homes, low-income housing, etc.) to conserve water consumption, reduce energy usage, and divert waste through recycling and composting. We focus to not only diminish the ecological footprint, but also reduce the operational costs for nonprofits.

In 2009, we helped 31 facilities that provide community services and supportive housing to vulnerable populations to annually:

* conserve 2.9 million gallons of water
* divert 356,000 pounds of waste from the landfill
* reduce 94,035 kWh

They expect to save $187,540 within the first year with accrued savings of $788,141 in five years. More money for mission-focused programs instead of utility bills!

We aim to bring about long-term environmental and financial savings to nonprofits as they face continuing budget cuts, rising costs of resources, and ongoing legislation demanding efficiency. Your support is an investment in the nonprofit community and the critical services they provide.
