Press Release: Buy A Song To Support A Cause

This effort supports Coalition on Homelessness, WRAP & Literacy for Environmental JusticeJay Trainer Band has partnered with Artfulchange on a new campaign called Power Of The Arts and is aimed towards promoting local San Francisco causes as well as financially contributing to their work. The band is donating 50% of the proceeds of select track sales off their new EP, when purchased through the Artfulchange Power of the Arts campaign.

Artfulchange is a collaboration of artists and environmentalists. They seek to construct thoughtful alliances in hopes of solving some of the world’s most pressing environmental and social problems. Artfulchange utilizes the arts as a catalyst for social change. Their aim is to provide opportunities to everyone to incorporate activism into their lives in the framework they have constructed.

Jay Trainer Band and Artfulchange are currently partnering with three local nonprofits on this initiative and are working diligently to grow the list of beneficiaries. As Jay puts it, "The core principle behind Artfulchange is using our passion for the arts to have an impact on these issues.  We are creating opportunities for people to enjoy the arts and at the same time know that the money they are spending is going to make a difference."
